The Racer X Fabrication Shifter Deadweight is a precision-machined counterweight designed specifically for the GR Corolla to refine shift feel and reduce unwanted vibration at the source. Compared to the OEM shift lever damper, our deadweight increases mass from 383g to 600g — a 57% increase — adding deliberate inertia to the shifter assembly. The result is a smoother, more confident shift action with reduced notchiness and subtle NVH improvement, without muting driver feedback.

The increased mass stabilizes the shift lever through engagement, helping the shifter feel more planted and intentional during both daily driving and aggressive shifts while maintaining a direct, mechanical connection to the transmission.
