I decided to upgrade my GR Corolla pitch mount since so many people were having issues with the OEM pitch mount failing. Much to my surprise mine was torn when I removed it! It was a simple installation and a very nice upgrade to the 60A. I didn't notice any additional NVH with the new RacerX pitch m out but the shifts are even better now and my car has always shifted well. I highly recommend this upgrade!
The Racer X engine pitch mount is a well-made piece. Installation was easy and straight forward, it took longer to take the undertray off. Everything fit as expected. I very much appreciated the OEM torque specs and pattern added to the instructions.My only concern prior to installation was the potential of adding noise and vibration. The first startup post install was a little stressful. I was very relieved that the NVH that was added was very minimal. It actually added to the feeling of being connected with the car. The engine pitch mount makes throttle response more crisp, shifts are more precise, and on-off-on throttle changes are more direct. There is a small bit of added vibration when the car fully warms up and RPMs drop, it can be felt in the steering wheel, but it’s nothing that will be of any nuisance. The mirror does not shake, and takeoffs are buttery smooth. For a street car, the 60A durometer urethane bushing is perfect.I’ve had the mount in the car for 4 weeks. It has broken in well and, if anything, the minimal NVH increase it had in the beginning has improved. Thanks Racer X for a quality product!
